Everything went according to plan in Hangzhou where seventh ranked TianJin Steel (17-12) outleveled 12th ranked Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank (12-17) 128-108 on Tuesday. TianJin Steel made 21-of-24 free shots (87.5 percent) during the game. American players dominated the game. point guard Sebastian Telfair (183-85) stepped up and scored 53 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 7 assists (was perfect 12-for-12 from the free throw line !!!) for the winners and forward Shelden Williams (206-83, college: Duke) chipped in 21 points and 12 rebounds. TianJin Steel's coach Jian Zhang used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Mike Harris (198-83, college: Rice) responded with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 16 rebounds and guard Dewarick Spencer (193-82, college: Arkansas St., agency: Higher Vision Sports) scored 24 points. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. TianJin Steel moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Shanghai S. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank lost their fifth game in a row. They dropped to the thirteenth position with 17 games lost. TianJin Steel will meet at home Sichuan BW (#12) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank will play against Beijing Ducks and hope to secure a win.
