Very expected game when 12th ranked Cognac BB (7-13) lost at home to seventh ranked La Rochelle (12-7) 71-64 on Tuesday. The guests trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 71-64. La Rochelle made 26-of-32 free shots (81.3 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Cognac BB turnovers. Strangely Cognac BB outrebounded La Rochelle 43-28 including 29 on the defensive glass. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. La Rochelle moved-up to sixth place. Cognac BB lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fourteenth position with 13 games lost. La Rochelle will face Saint-Brieuc (#16) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Cognac BB will play against Sorgues BC and hope to win that game.
