No shocking result in a game when ninth ranked Quimper UJAP (10-10) crushed on the road 16th ranked Saint-Brieuc (6-14) 87-66 on Tuesday. The guests trailed by 12 points at the halftime before their 57-24 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Saint-Brieuc was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Mathieu Tensorer (198-83) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Forward Fabien Herard (198-79) contributed with 24 points, 5 assists and 5 steals for the winners. Four Quimper UJAP players scored in double figures. point guard Antoine Liorel (180-89) replied with 14 points and 6 assists and center Nicolas Kaczmarow (204-83) added 15 points in the effort for Saint-Brieuc. Saint-Brieuc's coach Denis Mettay already knew that his team would not have a big chance, so allowed to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Quimper UJAP maintains ninth position with 10-10 record, which they share with Chartres. Newly promoted Saint-Brieuc dropped to the fifteenth place with 14 games lost. Quimper UJAP will face Lourdes-Tarbes (#12) at home in the next round. Saint-Brieuc will play against La Rochelle and hope to win that game.
