Regular Season Round 19: TU/Rock - KK Hito 118-90

Alexela KML top team - TU/Rock (16-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed ninth ranked KK Hito (0-21) in Tartu 118-90. The game was mostly controlled by TU/Rock. KK Hito was better in second period 23-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. TU/Rock dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to KK Hito's 54. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was a quality performance for the former international guard Tanel Kurbas (197-88) who led the winners and scored 27 points. The former international point guard Valmo Kriisa (190-74) accounted for 21 points and 4 assists for the winning side. point guard Siim Laur (189-87) came up with 30 points and 8 assists and power forward Edvard Trumm (192-83) added 18 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) respectively for KK Hito in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. TU/Rock have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place with 16-1 record. KK Hito at the other side still closes the standings. TU/Rock will play against Valga (#8) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. KK Hito will play against KK Parnu and hopes to get finally their first victory.
