The game between closely ranked teams ended with top-ranked KFUM Uppsala's (3-0) home victory over 4th ranked Akropol (2-2) 96-67 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by KFUM Uppsala. Akropol was better in third quarter 22-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Swingman Simon Ezra (197-94) fired 20 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Forward Tobias Skyttevall (193-95) chipped in 13 points, 9 rebounds and 5 blocks. Five KFUM Uppsala players scored in double figures. KFUM Uppsala's coach Anders Lemmeke felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Center Mickael Jonsson (207-80) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and naturalized Greek forward Athanasios Kalpakas (198-84) added 5 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for lost side. KFUM Uppsala have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Loser Akropol keeps the fourth position with two games lost. KFUM Uppsala will face KFUM Blackebergs (#3) in Vallingby in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Akropol will play at home against Orongo Dragons and hope to win that game.
