Regular Season Round 31: Rieker KN - Inter Bratislava 69-86

The game between Top Four teams took place in Komarno. 4th placed host Rieker KN (16-11) lost to first ranked Inter Bratislava (23-5) 86-69The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 12-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 86-69. Inter Bratislava shot 60.7 percent from the field. It was a great evening for the former international power forward Martin Rancik (206-78, college: Iowa St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 27 points. Czech center Ondrej Starosta (215-79) helped adding 15 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). Four Inter Bratislava players scored in double figures. Inter Bratislava's coach Oleg Meleschenko used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American forward Kenny Hall (206-90, college: Tennessee, agency: Three Eye Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and Canadian guard Juevol Myles (185-89, college: S.Dakota) scored 14 points. Inter Bratislava have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 23-5 record. Rieker KN at the other side keeps the fourth position with 11 games lost. Inter Bratislava are looking forward to face Prievidza (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Rieker KN will play against Iskra Svit and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
