Regular Season Round 31: Prievidza - B.Bystrica 93-68

Date: February 5, 2014
Third ranked Prievidza (19-8) crushed at home 7th ranked SKP Banska Bystrica (11-17) by 25 points 93-68, which is the biggest margin this round. The game without a history. Prievidza led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Prievidza forced 21 SKP Banska Bystrica turnovers. It was a quality performance for Croatian power forward Drazen Klaric (204-80) who led the winners and scored 27 points. Croatian swingman Marko Batina (198-86) accounted for 13 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Four Prievidza players scored in double figures. American power forward Gary Hamilton (208-84, college: Miami, FL, agency: KMG Sports Management) came up with 8 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import point guard Chris Lowe (182-87, college: Massachusetts, agency: KMG Sports Management) added 11 points respectively for SKP Banska Bystrica in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Prievidza maintains third place with 19-8 record having five points less than leader Inter Bratislava. SKP Banska Bystrica at the other side keeps the seventh position with 17 games lost. Prievidza will play against league's leader Inter Bratislava on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. SKP Banska Bystrica will play against the league's second-placed Nitra (#2) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
