Regular Season Round 27: UQAM - McGill 72-90

Leader Redmen delivered the ninth win on Thursday night. This time they beat 5th ranked Citadines (2-9) 90-72 in Montreal, QC. The game was mostly controlled by Redmen. Citadines managed to win second period 20-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Redmen had a 24-13 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was swingman Vincent Dufort (196) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Dele Ogundokun (188) chipped in 12 points. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Alexandre Bernard (196) who recorded 30 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Richard Addai (180-88) added 23 points and 4 assists respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Redmen have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 9-2 record. Citadines at the other side keep the fifth position with nine games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
