Regular Season Round 20: Niroo Zamini - Qazvin 69-76

No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Qazvin (10-13) defeated on the road bottom-ranked Niroo Zamini (3-20) 76-69 on Thursday. Qazvin forced 26 Niroo Zamini turnovers. Strangely Niroo Zamini outrebounded Qazvin 55-33 including a 34-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was forward Armen Allahverdi (197-82) who scored 20 points. Vahid Eslami (197) chipped in 20 points. International forward Amir Sedighi (203-93) produced 20 points and 8 rebounds and Mohammad Shahrian added 13 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Qazvin have a solid four-game winning streak. Newly promoted Qazvin maintains sixth position with 10-13 record. Niroo Zamini at the other side, also newcomer in the league, stay dead last with 20 lost games. Qazvin are looking forward to face Sanaye (#7) in Mahshahr in the next round. Niroo Zamini will play on the road against Esteghlal (#9) in Qeshm and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
