Regular Season Round 28: UFV - UNBC 87-62
Date: February 7, 2014
Not a big story in a game when 7th ranked Timberwolves (4-16) were outscored by second ranked Cascades (15-5) in Abbotsford, BC 87-62 on Friday. The game without a history. Cascades led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Quite impressive performance for forward Jasper Moedt (201) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Kevon Parchment (191) contributed with 24 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from downtown making all five shots) for the winners. British-Cameroonian forward Franck Kouagnia (201) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and forward Daniel Stark (191) added 11 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Timberwolves. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Cascades have an impressive 12-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 15-5 record having five points less than leader Windsor, which they share with Saskatchewan. Timberwolves lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 16 games lost. Cascades will face again Timberwolves (#7) in Prince George, BC in the next round where they are favorite.
