Regular Season Round 30: Zhejiang CB - Beijing Ducks 103-97

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Beijing Ducks (21-9) against thirteenth ranked Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank (13-17) on Friday night. Visiting Beijing Ducks were defeated by Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank in a tough game in Hangzhou 97-103. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Beijing Ducks. The hosts were already 13 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 31-24 Beijing Ducks' run in the last quarter cut the lead to 103-97 at the end of the game. American players dominated the game. Mike Harris (198-83, college: Rice) had a double-double by scoring 29 points and 21 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Dewarick Spencer (193-82, college: Arkansas St., agency: Higher Vision Sports) chipped in 29 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Stephon Marbury (188-77, college: Georgia Tech) with 33 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 7 assists and power forward Randolph Morris (211-86, college: Kentucky) scored 24 points and 5 rebounds. Beijing Ducks' coach LuLei Min rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Sichuan BW. Beijing Ducks at the other side keep the third position with nine games lost. They share it with DongGuan L.. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank will play against higher ranked Fujian (#10) in Jinjiang in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Beijing Ducks will play at home against TianJin Steel (#6) and hope to get back on the winning track.
