Regular Season Round 22: Svisloch - Tsmoki-Minsk II 103-63

Rather expected game in Osipovichi where 4th ranked Tsmoki-Minsk II (9-13) was crushed by second ranked Svisloch (17-5) 103-63 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Svisloch. Tsmoki-Minsk II was better in second period 23-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Svisloch forced 21 Tsmoki-Minsk II turnovers and outrebounded them 43-26 including a 35-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Svisloch especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by Tsmoki-Minsk II's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Svisloch made 8 blocks. Aliaksandr Hrumiantsau (205-91) had a double-double by scoring 31 points, 16 rebounds and 5 blocks (made all of his eight free throws) to lead the charge for the winners and guard Siarhei Vabishchevich (192-88) chipped in 19 points, 8 rebounds, 13 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Five Svisloch players scored in double figures. At the losing side power forward Siarhei Kazlou (200-95) responded with 20 points and 7 rebounds and forward Yauheni Beliankou (197-95) scored 16 points. Tsmoki-Minsk II's coach Heorhi Kandrusevich gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Svisloch maintains second position with 17-5 record having five points less than leader Grodno-93. Tsmoki-Minsk II at the other side keeps the fourth place with 13 games lost. Svisloch will face Rubon (#6) in Vitebsk in the next round. Tsmoki-Minsk II will play at home against Borisfen and hope to win that game.
