An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Rakvere. Second ranked BC Rakvere faced one of their biggest challengers Kalev/Cramo. Host BC Rakvere (16-6) defeated guests from Tallinn (18-2) 83-73. The game was mostly controlled by BC Rakvere. Kalev/Cramo was better in second period 17-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Strangely Kalev/Cramo outrebounded BC Rakvere 41-25 including a 30-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. The former international forward Rait Keerles (201-80) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points and 5 rebounds. American power forward Gregory Jenkins (206-82, college: Iona) contributed with 12 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four BC Rakvere players scored in double figures. U.S. Virgin Islands center Frank Elegar (208-86, college: Drexel) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds and Romanian forward Vlad-Sorin Moldoveanu (209-88, college: American) added 19 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Kalev/Cramo. BC Rakvere have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 16-6 record having just one point less than leader TU/Rock. Defending champion Kalev/Cramo keeps the third place with two games lost. BC Rakvere will play against Rapla (#7) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Kalev/Cramo will have a break next round.
