Regular Season Round 33: Norrkoping - Boras 77-78

Third-ranked Norrkoping Dolphins (16-10) made lots of trouble for second ranked Boras Basket (23-3) on Friday. The visitors from Boras managed to secure only one-point victory 78-77. However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Norrkoping Dolphins. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Norrkoping Dolphins won third quarter 19-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was American point guard James Miller (182-79, college: N.Carolina A&T, agency: Higher Vision Sports) who scored 30 points. Finnish guard Roope Ahonen (186-90) chipped in 12 points and 8 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international center Joakim Kjellbom (212-79, college: N.Arizona) who recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and Latvian point guard Edgars Jeromanovs (186-86) added 17 points respectively. Five Norrkoping Dolphins players scored in double figures. Boras Basket keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Sodertalje. Norrkoping Dolphins at the other side keep the third place with ten games lost. Boras Basket is looking forward to face Solna Vikings (#6) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Norrkoping Dolphins will play against Sundsvall Dragons and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
