Regular Season Round 19: Wilki Morskie - Spojnia 68-54

No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked Wilki Morskie (11-8) beat bottom-ranked Spojnia (3-16) in Szczecin 68-54 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 68-54. Quite impressive performance for the former international Zbigniew Bialek (202-82, agency: Promotex) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds. Swingman Piotr Pluta (193-81, agency: Promotex) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Four Wilki Morskie players scored in double figures. Wilki Morskie's coach Marek Zukowski used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Center Karol Pytys (202-85) answered with 17 points and 7 rebounds and Adrian Sulinski (188-89, agency: Promotex) added 13 points in the effort for Spojnia. Wilki Morskie moved-up to seventh place, which they share with WKK Wroclaw. Spojnia lost their fourth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 16 games lost. Wilki Morskie will face higher ranked Start Lublin (#6) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Spojnia will play against MCKiS Jaworz. (#11) and hope to win that game.
