Palmeiras (10-12) outlasted Mogi (9-13) in overtime by seven points 98-91. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Mogi won fourth quarter 21-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening, at least not yet. The game turned upside-down in the last quarter, where Mogi used huge pressure winning it 21-12 getting a tie at the end of regular time. They lost eventually overtime period 20-27. Palmeiras made 29-of-37 charity shots (78.4 percent) during the game. They also forced 30 Mogi turnovers and outrebounded them 44-33 including 31 on the defensive glass. 29 personal fouls committed by Mogi helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for center Atila Santos (208-83, college: Minn.St.-Mankato, agency: Warren Sports International) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 18 rebounds. Italian-Argentinian point guard Maximiliano Stanic (178-78, agency: Players Group) contributed with 15 points and 7 assists for the winners.
