Rather expected game when 7th ranked Rio Claro (1-10) lost to fourth ranked Maranhao (7-3) in Maranho 57-72. The game was mostly controlled by Maranhao. Rio Claro was better in fourth quarter 19-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Rio Claro 42-27 including 29 on the defensive glass.
