Regular Season Round 29: Bishop's - Concordia 64-61

A very close game took place in Lennoxville, QC (derby !!!) between Gaiters and Stingers. Second ranked Gaiters (8-4) got a very close home victory over 3rd placed Stingers (6-6). Gaiters managed to escape with a 3-point win 64-61 in the game for the second place. Stingers were trailing by 10 points at halftime but managed to get 4-point lead after three quarters before a 20-13 charge of Gaiters, which allowed them to win the game. They also forced 20 Stingers turnovers. The best player for the winners was French center Majid Naji (211) who scored 14 points. Guard Onnex Blackwood (190) chipped in 11 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Jean-Andre Moussignac (188) produced 19 points and forward Michael Fosu (196) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Stingers' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Gaiters maintains second place with 8-4 record having twenty points less than leader Windsor. Stingers lost their third game in a row. They keep the third position with six games lost. Gaiters will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Stingers will play against Citadines and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
