Regular Season Round 21: St Chamond - Monaco 68-86

NM1 top team - Monaco (18-2) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat fifth ranked Saint Chamond (13-8) 86-68. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Saint Chamond. The game without a history. Monaco led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 60.9 percentage. Monaco players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. American-Nigerian forward Derrick Obasohan (200-81, college: Texas Arlington, agency: Beo Basket) nailed 19 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winning side and center Jonathan Tornato (210-89) accounted for 17 points and 5 rebounds. Four Monaco players scored in double figures. Cuban power forward Grismay Paumier (203-88) came up with 15 points and 6 rebounds and forward Jean-Stephane Rinna (205-83) added 9 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Saint Chamond in the defeat. Monaco have an impressive series of eighteen victories in a row. They maintain first place with 18-2 record. Saint Chamond at the other side dropped to the sixth position with eight games lost. They share it with Sorgues. Monaco will play against ADA Blois (#12) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Saint Chamond will play against Cognac BB (#14) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
