Very predictable result when second ranked Kyoto Hannar. (21-12) won against on the road 7th ranked Fukuoka Rizing (13-18) 78-62 on Saturday. The game without a history. Kyoto Hannar. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Fukuoka Rizing's 38. They outrebounded Fukuoka Rizing 41-18 including a 30-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. American players dominated also this game. Center Joe Werner (201-84, college: Wisc.-La Crosse) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Center Chris Holm (212-84, college: Vermont) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Five Kyoto Hannar. players scored in double figures. Forward Reginald Warren (204-81, college: W.Florida) answered with 17 points and 7 rebounds and swingman Seth Tarver (196-88, college: Oregon St.) added 16 points in the effort for Fukuoka Rizing. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Kyoto Hannar. maintains second place with 21-12 record despite having the same number of points like the leader Akita NH. Loser Fukuoka Rizing dropped to the sixth position with 18 games lost. Kyoto Hannar. will have a break next round. Fukuoka Rizing will play again at home against the league's second-placed Kyoto Hannar. (#2) and hope to win that game.
