No shocking result in a game in Madrid where seventh ranked ASEFA Estudiantes (6-7) edged 11th ranked Araski AES (3-10) 50-48 on Saturday. However just two-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 15-11 charge, which allowed them to win the game. ASEFA Estudiantes forced 25 Araski AES turnovers and had a 19-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Araski AES was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Center Elena Diaz (188-92) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and guard Irene Goicoechea (173-94) chipped in 6 points and 6 rebounds.
