The game was mostly controlled by Torpan Pojat. Aanekosken managed to win second period 18-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Venlakaisa Holtta (175-84) nailed 23 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side and international guard Vilma Kesanen (173-88) accounted for 18 points and 5 assists. Torpan Pojat's coach Kari-Pekka Klinga allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American swingman Lonniya Bragg (182-79, college: Arkansas) came up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 18 rebounds and the other American import guard Brandi Davis (183-83, college: Oregon) added 17 points and 4 assists respectively for Aanekosken in the defeat. Four Torpan Pojat and five Aanekosken players scored in double figures. Torpan Pojat maintains third place with 13-6 record having eight points less than leader Catz. Loser Aanekosken keeps the fifth position with ten games lost. Torpan Pojat will meet at home league's leader Catz Lappeenranta in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Aanekosken will play against TuRi (#8) and hope to secure a win.
