Regular Season Round 29: TRU - Victoria 74-94

Everything went according to plan in Kamloops, BC where first ranked Vikies (17-3) outscored 4th placed Wolfpack (11-9) 94-74 on Saturday. The game without a history. Vikies led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Vikies outrebounded Wolfpack 37-22 including 26 on the defensive glass. They shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 53.3 percentage. Vikies looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Wolfpack's players. Center Chris McLaughlin (208) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and American swingman Terrell Evans (193) chipped in 19 points and 5 assists. Four Vikies players scored in double figures. Vikies' coach Craig Beaucamp used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Center Josh Wolfram (208-92) responded with 26 points and 6 rebounds and American guard Ta-Quan Zimmerman (188, college: Monroe CC) scored 23 points. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Vikies. They maintain first place with 17-3 record. Loser Wolfpack keeps the fourth position with nine games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
