Regular Season Round 27: Lethbridge - Brandon 59-70

Everything went according to plan when sixth ranked Bobcats (6-14) beat on the road 8th ranked Lethbridge (6-14) 70-59 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 70-59. Bobcats forced 21 Lethbridge turnovers. It was a great evening for American guard Cassie Cooke (173-91, college: Mt.St.Marys) who led her team to a victory scoring 20 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. Guard Stephanie Haynes (170-92) helped adding 11 points and 5 rebounds. The best for the losing side was forward Kimberley Veldman (188) with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds and forward Mariah Miller (178) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds. Bobcats maintains sixth place with 6-14 record, which they share with defeated Lethbridge. Lethbridge lost seventh consecutive game. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
