Regular Season Round 36: Okinawa GK - Osaka Evessa 76-67

BJ League top team - Okinawa GK (26-4) managed to deliver another win on Sunday. This time they beat eighth ranked Osaka Evessa (13-19) 76-67. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Osaka Evessa won third quarter 21-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a quality performance of American guard Draelon Burns (194-85, college: De Paul) who helped to win the game recording 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and Trinidad and Tobago power forward Kibwe Trim (208-84, college: Sacred Heart) who added 16 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Okinawa GK players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Serbian power forward Darko Cohadarevic (206-86, college: Texas Tech) with 20 points and American swingman D'Andre Bell (198-87, college: Georgia Tech) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Osaka Evessa's coach Shunsuke Todo tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Okinawa GK have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 26-4 record. Loser Osaka Evessa dropped to the seventh place with 19 games lost. Okinawa GK will face Kyoto Hannar. (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Osaka Evessa will play against Shiga L-Stars (#4) and hope to win that game.
