Regular Season Round 36: Shiga L-Stars - Takamatsu FA 82-79

A very close game took place in Shiga between Shiga L-Stars and Takamatsu FA. Fourth ranked Shiga L-Stars (16-16) got a very close home victory over 6th ranked Takamatsu FA (13-19). Shiga L-Stars managed to escape with a 3-point win 82-79 on Sunday evening. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. Power forward Shelton Colwell (202-80, college: Missouri St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points and 16 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Paul Williams (208-83, college: St.Bonaventure, agency: I.D.S. Law) who recorded a double-double by scoring 23 points, 19 rebounds and 4 blocks and swingman Dexter Lyons (198-81, college: Cent.Florida, agency: I.D.S. Law) added 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. Four Takamatsu FA players scored in double figures. Takamatsu FA's coach Kenzo Maeda rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Shiga L-Stars have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 16-16 record. Takamatsu FA lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh place with 19 games lost. They share the position with Osaka Evessa. Shiga L-Stars will meet Osaka Evessa (#8) on the road in the next round. Takamatsu FA will play against the league's second-placed Hamamatsu Phoenix and hope to secure a win.
