Regular Season Round 19: Sverresborg - Centrum 66-63

Important game to mention about took place in Trondheim. Eighth ranked Sverresborg (2-14) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 7th ranked Centrum (1-15) 66-63 in the fight for the seventh place. The hosts were already 13 points ahead at halftime and as many as 20 after three quarters before a 21-4 last quarter charge of Centrum cut the lead to 66-63 at the end of the game. Sverresborg forced 33 Centrum turnovers. Strangely Centrum outrebounded Sverresborg 44-25 including a 31-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Polish guard Adam Kilian (183-85) who helped to win the game recording 25 points. Forward Joachim Kahler (192-89) contributed with 10 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Sverresborg's coach Ron Billingslea allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The former international forward Miilah Kombat (198-88, college: N.Idaho JC) answered with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds and guard Ahmed Haddad (189-93) added 21 points in the effort for Centrum. Sverresborg moved-up to seventh place. Centrum lost their seventh game in a row. They dropped to the bottom position with 15 games lost. Sverresborg will play against league's leader Gimle BBK in Bergen in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Centrum will play on the road against Asker Aliens (#5) to get more than just one victory in their record.
