Regular Season Round 31: Jiangsu D. - DongGuan L. 97-115

Not a big story in a game in Nanjing where 11th ranked Jiangsu Dragons (14-17) were defeated by fourth ranked DongGuan Leopards (22-9) 115-97 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by DongGuan Leopards. Jiangsu Dragons was better in second period 27-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. DongGuan Leopards forced 29 Jiangsu Dragons turnovers. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a great evening for point guard Bobby Brown (188-84, college: CS Fullerton) who led his team to a victory scoring 30 points and 8 assists. Forward Donte Greene (206-88, college: Syracuse) helped adding 24 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. At the losing side power forward Jackson Vroman (208-81, college: Iowa St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Marcus Haislip (208-80, college: Tennessee) scored 19 points and 8 rebounds. Five Jiangsu Dragons players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for DongGuan Leopards. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Beijing Ducks. Jiangsu Dragons lost their third game in a row. They keep the eleventh position with 17 games lost. DongGuan Leopards will face Bayi Rockets (#17) in Ningbo in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Jiangsu Dragons will play at home against Foshan (#15) and hope to win that game.
