Not a big story in a game when 15th ranked Firenze (7-14) lost on the road to third ranked Naturhouse Ferrara (14-7) 75-63. Firenze was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Naturhouse Ferrara well out of reach of Firenze shooting 70.5 percent from the field and made 69-of-76 charity shots (90.8 percent) during the game. Naturhouse Ferrara forced 26 Firenze turnovers. Strangely Firenze outrebounded Naturhouse Ferrara 96-82 including 35 on the offensive glass. They shot the lights out from three nailing 53 long-distance shots on high 77.9 percentage. Naturhouse Ferrara players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists. They brought some defensive toughness making 23 blocks. 85 personal fouls committed by Firenze helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was guard Michele Ferri (191-85) who scored 17 points and 4 assists. Guard Gabriele Spizzichini (194-92) chipped in 11 points. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Alexander Simoncelli (188-86) who recorded 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Croatian guard Damir Rancic (199-83) added 15 points respectively. Four Firenze players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
