Very expected game when 10th ranked Afra Fars (6-17) were defeated at home by third ranked Azad (17-6) 77-73 on Monday. The guests trailed by 6 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 77-73. Azad outrebounded Afra Fars 41-27 including 16 on the offensive glass. International Mohammad Hassanzadeh (203-90) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 15 rebounds for the winners and Senegalese forward Ibrahima Thomas (210-87, college: Cincinnati) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds. The best for the losing side was international power forward Saleh Foroutannik (207-94) with 16 points and 5 rebounds and power forward Hossein Rahmati (203-93) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds.
