The game between closely ranked teams ended with leader Petrochimi's (23-0) road victory over second-best Mahram (20-3) 78-61 on Monday. They outrebounded Mahram 39-27 including a 18-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. The former international forward Arsalan Kazemi (200-90, college: Oregon) stepped up and scored 20 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and international Hamed Afagh (193-83) chipped in 14 points and 4 assists. Petrochimi's coach Mehran Hatami used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
