Rather predictable result when eighth ranked Zanjan (7-16) defeated at home 11th ranked Shahrdari Gorgan (5-18) 67-57 on Monday. The game was mostly controlled by Zanjan. Shahrdari Gorgan was better in fourth quarter 12-8. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Shahrdari Gorgan 38-26 including 26 on the defensive glass. The former international guard Benny Koochoie (190-86, college: CS Stanislaus) stepped up and scored 14 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals for the winners and the former international guard Saman Veisi (189-82) chipped in 16 points. Four Zanjan players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Mohsen Khosravi (198) with 13 points and 9 rebounds and the former international power forward Sasoon Abramian (208-87) scored 9 points and 6 rebounds. Shahrdari Gorgan's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Despite that victory Zanjan went down to ninth position due to points difference. Shahrdari Gorgan lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with 18 games lost.
