No shocking result in a game when third ranked Americana (8-2) crushed 5th ranked Ourinhos (5-5) in Vila Medon 97-59. The game was mostly controlled by Americana. Ourinhos was better in second period 15-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Americana dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Ourinhos' 38. Americana forced 27 Ourinhos turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international center Clarissa Dos Santos (187-88) who scored 21 points and 6 rebounds. International center Damiris Do Amaral (192-92) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Five Americana players scored in double figures.
