Regular Season Round 20: Kalev/Cramo - Valga 79-62

There was no surprise in Tallinn where 8th ranked Valga (5-16) was defeated by third ranked Kalev/Cramo (18-2) 79-62 on Tuesday. Kalev/Cramo dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Valga's 22. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Curtis Millage (185-81, college: Arizona St.) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 4 assists and Romanian forward Vlad-Sorin Moldoveanu (209-88, college: the other American import) who added 14 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Kalev/Cramo's coach Alar Varrak used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Spanish point guard Miguel Ortega (188-91) responded with 12 points and 7 rebounds and American forward Ferg Myrick (198-91, college: New Hampshire) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. Five Valga players scored in double figures. Defending champion maintains third position with 18-2 record behind leader TU/Rock. Valga at the other side keeps the eighth place with 16 games lost. Kalev/Cramo will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Valga will play against Tln Kalev (#5) and hope to secure a win.
