There was a minor upset when 5th ranked ALM Evreux (17-12) lost on the road to seventh ranked Le Portel (16-13) 76-71 on Tuesday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But ALM Evreux won third quarter 17-9. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Le Portel won last quarter 19-16. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Le Portel made 8 blocks. American point guard Ronnie Taylor (187-81, college: NC-Greensboro) orchestrated the victory by scoring 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Power forward Charles-Henri Bronchard (200-82, agency: Court Side) contributed with 13 points for the winners. Nigerian-Canadian Olu Ashaolu (198-88, college: Oregon, agency: Norton Sports Management) answered with 16 points and 8 rebounds and American guard B.A. Walker (188-84, college: VCU, agency: Pro One Sports) added 20 points in the effort for ALM Evreux.
