Date: February 11, 2014
An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in London. First ranked Lancers faced their biggest opponent Mustangs. Guests from Windsor (19-2) smashed host Mustangs (16-5) 80-51. The game was mostly controlled by Lancers. Mustangs was better in second period 18-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Mustangs to just 6 points in first quarter. Lancers made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Mustangs turnovers and outrebounded them 43-29 including 18 on the offensive glass. Lancers looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. International point guard Miah-Marie Langlois (173-91) fired a double-double by scoring 21 points, 6 rebounds, 10 assists and 5 steals for the winners. French forward Jessica Clemencon (190-89) chipped in 24 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Kelsey Wright (170) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and guard Danielle Boiago (170) added 11 points respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Lancers have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 19-2 record. Loser Mustangs keep the second place with five games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
