There was no surprise when 12th ranked Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank (13-19) was defeated on the road by seventh ranked Shanghai Sharks (19-13) 111-103. The hosts were already 13 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 38-33 Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 111-103 at the end of the game. They outrebounded Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank 51-38 including 18 on the offensive glass. 28 personal fouls committed by Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The game was dominated by American players. The winners were led by guard Quincy Douby (190-84, college: Rutgers) who scored that evening 34 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds and Darnell Jackson (203-85, college: Kansas) supported him with 29 points and 8 rebounds. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Shanghai Sharks moved-up to sixth place, which they share with TianJin S. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank at the other side dropped to the thirteenth position with 19 games lost. Shanghai Sharks' next round opponent will be TianJin Steel (#6) in Tianjin. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank will play at home against the league's second-placed Xinjiang Flying Tige (#2) and hope to win that game.
