Regular Season Round 32: Sichuan BW - Beijing Ducks 117-102

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Beijing Ducks (22-10) against thirteenth ranked Sichuan BW (14-18) on Wednesday night. Visiting Beijing Ducks were defeated by Sichuan BW in Sichuan 117-102. Beijing Ducks were ahead by 3 points at the halftime before a 60-42 second half run of Sichuan BW. They made 35-of-40 charity shots (87.5 percent) during the game, while Beijing Ducks only scored fifteen points from the stripe. They outrebounded Beijing Ducks 52-29 including a 11-0 advantage in offensive rebounds. Beijing Ducks were plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Nigerian-American guard Michael Efevberha (193-84, college: CS Northridge) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 11 rebounds and 5 assists (was perfect 14-for-14 from the free throw line !!!). Iranian center Hamed Haddadi (218-85) contributed with 22 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. International Yue Sun (206-85) replied with a triple-double by scoring 11 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists and American power forward Randolph Morris (211-86, college: Kentucky) added 21 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Beijing Ducks. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Sichuan BW moved-up to twelfth place. Beijing Ducks at the other side dropped to the fourth position with ten games lost. Sichuan BW will play against league's leader Guandong Tigers in Dongguan in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Beijing Ducks will play at home against Fujian and hope to get back on the winning track.
