Regular Season Round 33: Handlova - Nova Ves 75-57

Rather predictable result when sixth ranked Handlova (13-16) won against at home bottom-ranked Nova Ves (3-26) 75-57. The game was mostly controlled by Handlova. Nova Ves was better in fourth quarter 20-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Handlova forced 23 Nova Ves turnovers. Serbian guard Vladimir Velickovic (178-89) stepped up and scored 15 points and 5 assists for the winners and center Ivan Zidzik (208-90, college: NW Nazarene) chipped in 13 points and 5 rebounds. Four Handlova players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was swingman Vladimir Hovanak (193-82) with 16 points and the former international power forward Eduard Znanec (205-76) scored 8 points and 6 rebounds.
