No shocking result in a game in Quebec City, QC where first ranked Redmen (10-3) smashed 4th ranked Rouge et Or (4-9) 79-53 on Thursday. The game was mostly controlled by Redmen. Rouge et Or was better in second period 17-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Redmen dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Rouge et Or's 24. Redmen forced 20 Rouge et Or turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Thomas Lacy (188) who scored 30 points. Swingman Vincent Dufort (196) chipped in 15 points and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Belgian Thibaud Dezutter (191) who recorded a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds and guard Nicolas Begin (186) added 13 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Redmen maintains first position with 10-3 record. Loser Rouge et Or keeps the fourth place with nine games lost. Redmen will face league's second-placed Gaiters in Lennoxville, QC in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
