Regular Season Round 28: UQAM - Concordia 64-54

Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Montreal: Citadins (#3) and Concordia (#2). Citadins (8-5) won against visiting Concordia (9-4) 64-54. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Concordia. The game was mostly controlled by Citadins. Concordia was better in fourth quarter 18-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of center Jessica Lubin who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Queteline Celestin contributed with 12 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Citadins players scored in double figures. Guard Kaylah Barrett (173) replied with 21 points and 5 rebounds and center Marilyse Roy-Viau (180) added 15 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Concordia. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Citadins maintains third position with 8-5 record having thirteen points less than leader UFV. Concordia at the other side keeps the second place with four games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
