There was no surprise when 10th ranked Lleida Basquet (8-11) was defeated at home by fifth ranked Leyma Basquet (12-7) 84-76. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Leyma Basquet made 19-of-22 charity shots (86.4 percent) during the game. Forward Javier Lucas (207-86) notched 17 points and 8 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and American forward Jason Cain (208-85, college: Virginia) supported him with 17 points. Even 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists by Lithuanian forward Osvaldas Matulionis (200-91, agency: Dynamics Global Management) did not help to save the game for Lleida Basquet. American forward Terrell Vinson (201-90, college: Massachusetts) added 11 points and 6 rebounds. Four Leyma Basquet and five Lleida Basquet players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Leyma Basquet moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Breogan and Oviedo. Lleida Basquet at the other side keeps the tenth position with 11 games lost. Leyma Basquet will have a break next round. Lleida Basquet will play again at home against Leyma Basquet (#4) and hope to win that game.
