The game in Hangzhou was also quite interesting. Third ranked DongGuan Leopards (24-9) played at the court of 5th ranked Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (20-13). DongGuan Leopards defeated Zhejiang Guangsha Lions 117-105 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by DongGuan Leopards. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions managed to win second period 23-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. DongGuan Leopards dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Zhejiang Guangsha Lions' 50. Forward QuAn Gu (203-92) nailed 41 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds (on 18-of-23 shooting from the field) for the winning side and American point guard Bobby Brown (188-84, college: CS Fullerton) accounted for 38 points (!!!) and 4 assists. American point guard Jonathan Gibson (188-87, college: N.Mexico St., agency: Three Eye Sports) came up with 32 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and Taiwanese guard Zhijie Lin (192-82) added 22 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Zhejiang Guangsha Lions in the defeat. Four Zhejiang Guangsha Lions players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for DongGuan Leopards. They maintain third place with 24-9 record having six points less than leader Guangdong ST. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions at the other side keep the fifth position with 13 games lost. They share it with TianJin S.. DongGuan Leopards will meet at home league's leader Guandong Tigers in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions will play against Foshan (#15) and hope to secure a win.
