WNBL top team - Bendigo Spirit (22-2) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eighth ranked Logan Thunder (7-17) 97-68. The game without a history. Bendigo Spirit led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Logan Thunder's 54. They outrebounded Logan Thunder 40-26 including 26 on the defensive glass. Bendigo Spirit players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Logan Thunder's players. Worth to mention a great performance of center Gabrielle Richards (191-84, college: Oregon) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds. Canadian forward Chelsea Aubry (188-84, college: Nebraska) contributed with 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Bendigo Spirit's coach Bernie Harrower felt very confident using 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. The former international guard Kristen Veal (176-81) answered with 10 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Emma Langford (188-89, college: Wyoming) added 18 points in the effort for Logan Thunder. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Bendigo Spirit have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place with 22-2 record. Logan Thunder at the other side keeps the eighth position with 17 games lost.
