Regular Season Round 20: Ammerud Bskt - Baerum Basket 70-62

Rather expected game when 5th ranked Baerum Basket (9-6) lost to third ranked Ammerud Bskt (11-5) in Oslo 62-70. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 20-11. But Baerum Basket won second period 21-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American-German forward Marco Sanders (202-79, college: Point Park) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 7 rebounds and forward Dag Christensen (201-80) who added 7 points, 12 rebounds and 5 blocks during the contest. Four Ammerud Bskt players scored in double figures. Ammerud Bskt's coach Kelvin Woods allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward Lukas Roesch (197-90, college: Nova SE) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Austin Steed (203-88, college: E.Carolina) scored 15 points and 9 rebounds. Ammerud Bskt moved-up to second place, which they share with Tromso. Defending champion Baerum Basket keeps the fifth position with six games lost. Ammerud Bskt will play against Asker Aliens (#4) at home in the next round. Baerum Basket will play against Centrum in Oslo and hopes to get back on the winning track.
