An exciting game was played in Minsk. BrGU COR Victoria faced RGUOR. Guests from Brest (5-1) smashed host RGUOR (0-0) 66-42. The game without a history. BrGU COR Victoria led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding RGUOR to just 6 points in second and fourth quarters. BrGU COR Victoria forced 29 RGUOR turnovers. Center Alesia Lalovich (188-79) had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks to lead the charge for the winners and forward Natalia Rusak (180-84) chipped in 20 points, 5 assists and 6 steals during the contest. Center Ekaterina Karchevskaya (183-98) responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds and center Anna Brich (183-97) scored 8 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. BrGU COR Victoria will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. RGUOR will play again against BrGU COR Victoria and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
