Regular Season Round 22: Sallen - Norrkoping 73-70

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Norrkoping Dolphins (16-3) in Uppsala on Saturday night. Visitors were edged by third ranked Sallen (13-4) 73-70. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Norrkoping Dolphins. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 23-18. But Norrkoping Dolphins won second period 20-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American point guard Eureka Brooks (170-86, college: Florida) had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international guard Chioma Nnamaka (183-85, college: Georgia Tech) chipped in 16 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side the former international guard Johanna Kallman (172-87) responded with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and international guard Frida Aili (180-88) scored 18 points and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Sallen have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 13-4 record having five points less than leader Norrkoping. Defending champion Norrkoping Dolphins still keep top place with three games lost. Sallen are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Eskinstuna (#10) in Eskilstuna in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Norrkoping Dolphins will have a break next round.
