The game between closely ranked teams ended with 7th ranked Energy Invest's (3-8) road loss to sixth ranked Sokhumi (6-5) 65-79 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 5 points at the halftime before their 43-24 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Beka Bekauri (207-91) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points and 20 rebounds and forward Irakli Chlaidze (199-89) who added 25 points and 7 assists during the contest. Four Sokhumi players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was center Levan Khmelidze (208-90) with 17 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Malkhazi Abaishvili (183-91) scored 18 points and 6 rebounds. Sokhumi moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Batumi. Loser Energy Invest keeps the seventh position with eight games lost. Sokhumi will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Energy Invest will play against the league's leader Dinamo Tbilisi (#1) and hope to secure a win.
