Regular Season Round 19: Notec - Legia 85-62

Leading Legia (15-2) recorded its second loss in Inowroclaw on Saturday night. Visitors were rolled over by third ranked Notec (13-5) 85-62. It ended at the same time the 15-game winning streak of Legia. The game was mostly controlled by Notec. Legia managed to win second period 17-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Notec forced 19 Legia turnovers. Forward Aleksander Filipiak (185-90) fired 22 points, 9 rebounds, 9 assists and 5 steals for the winners. Guard Daniel Korolczyk (190-87) chipped in 24 points. Four Notec players scored in double figures. Power forward Bartlomiej Bojko (200-92) produced 4 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Rafal Holnicki-Szulc (186-89) added 8 points and 6 assists respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Notec. They maintain third place in Group A with 13-5 record having just three points less than leader SKK Siedlce. Loser Legia still keeps top position with two games lost. Notec will meet league's second-placed Nowa Sol in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Legia will play against Korsarz Gdansk and hope to secure a win.
