There was a minor upset when 6th ranked Fukuoka Rizing (14-19) was defeated on the road by ninth ranked Bambitious Nara (10-21) 84-73 on Saturday. The game without a history. Bambitious Nara led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Bambitious Nara forced 19 Fukuoka Rizing turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Bambitious Nara especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. The game was dominated by American players. Guard Joe Chapman (193-84, college: Marquette, agency: I.D.S. Law) fired 23 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Jamar Abrams (201-89, college: E.Carolina, agency: KMG Sports Management) chipped in 18 points. Four Bambitious Nara players scored in double figures. Forward Reginald Warren (204-81, college: W.Florida) produced 18 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and swingman Seth Tarver (196-88, college: Oregon St.) added 15 points respectively for lost side. Bambitious Nara maintains ninth place with 10-21 record. Loser Fukuoka Rizing keeps the sixth position with 19 games lost. Bambitious Nara will face again higher ranked Fukuoka Rizing (#6) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
